Race Originally Scheduled at Waynesfield Raceway Park has Been Moved
Lake Odessa, Michigan (Tuesday, August 7, 2018) - An interesting 2018 season for the American Ethanol Modified Tour presented by Allstar Performance has featured, two weather related postponements, three different winners, and will now see a change of venue for Saturday, August 11th.
The event originally scheduled to be held at Waynesfield Raceway Park will now be held at Lake City, Michigan’s Merritt Speedway. The Tour, which sees a number of Merritt Speedway regulars, is returning to the Speedway for the third time in 2018. The change in venue also creates the opportunity for fans and drivers to more easily participate in the weekend.
Friday, August 10th, race teams will compete in the Third Annual Tommie Bauer Memorial Race presented by YellowHose.com at Mt. Pleasant Speedway in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. That race, sanctioned by AEMODT, driver Chad Bauer pays an impressive $2,519 to win, as well as several other incentives and bonuses. Now paired with the $1,500 to win event at Merritt Speedway, just some 60 minutes from Mt. Pleasant, teams will have a lighter travel load for the first AEMODT double-header of the season.
The event at Merritt Speedway offers race fans “Dollar Beer, Dollar Dogs and Ten Dollar Admission”. American Ethanol Modifieds, UMP Late Models, Lightning Sprints, Pro Stocks, Factory Stocks, Compacts and Mini Wedges are on the action packed schedule of events for the evening. Pit Gates will open at 3pm and racing is set for 7pm. For more information visit MerrittSpeedwayMI.com
