Lake Odessa, MI (Saturday, July 7, 2018) - It’s back to racing for the American Ethanol Modified Tour Presented by Allstar Performance (AEMODT) as the cars and stars head south to Montpelier, Indiana’s Montpelier Motor Speedway for the POET 30. This marks only the second event of the 2018 season for the AEMODT with rain-outs postponing shows on June 22nd and 23rd.
This marks the first ever trip for the AEMODT to Montpelier Motor Speedway, which houses UMP (AEMODT Sanctioning Body) Modifieds on a regular basis. Heading into tonight’s racing action, Chad Bauer leads the 2018 points standings over Jacob Poel only thanks to his qualifying efforts before the rains came at Merritt Speedway on June 23rd. Poel, however, is the only driver to win a 2018 feature after he drove through the field to win the Modified portion of the Merritt Showdown. AEMODT regulars and Montpelier Motor Speedway “ringers” will all be on hand tonight to try and collect the $1,500 AEMODT payday, along with several hundred dollars in contingency awards.
