AEMODT joins their counterparts in the Late Models & Mini Wedges for the American Ethanol Shootout on Sunday, June 25th
Rochester Hills, Michigan (Friday, April 14th, 2017): As excitement continues to build for the inaugural season within the American Ethanol Modified Tour presented by Allstar Performance (AEMODT), the Schedule of Events within the first season of competition for the DIRTcar Racing UMP Modified competitors has grown once more. Originally an 11-race schedule, which was later bumped up to 12 with the addition of the Manistee County Fairgrounds event on Friday, July 7th, “Lucky #13” has been added to the calendar and will complete the AEMODT race schedule for 2017.
A trip to the 4/10s (0.400) mile high-banked dirt oval of I-96 Speedway, located east of Grand Rapids and west of Lansing in Lake Odessa, Michigan is now set for Sunday, June 25th. The cars and stars of AEMODT are now a part of a monstrous day of racing in West Michigan with the running of the Inaugural American Ethanol Summer Shootout, a Motor City Racing Promotions (MCRP) event. They will join their big brothers within the American Ethanol Late Model Tour (AELMT) as well as their little brothers within the American Ethanol Mini Wedge Association (AEMWA).
The inaugural American Ethanol Summer Shootout will feature all three American Ethanol sponsored tours headlined by the AELMT with the running of the American Ethanol 40 presented by Carbon Green BioEnergy. AEMODT will race in the American Ethanol 30 presented by YellowHose.com. Lastly, the future stars of racing, the AEMWA will be on the card and race in the American Ethanol 20 presented by NUVU Fuels Ionia. Racing on Sunday, June 25th will get the Green Flag at 6:00p.m. A complete Schedule of Events will be available at a later date, once it’s confirmed and finalized. The AEMODT inaugural season opener is set for Saturday, May 27th. The Tom Sprague owned and promoted 1/3 (0.333) mile semi-banked dirt oval of Thunderbird Raceway located in Muskegon, Michigan will serve as hosts of the historic first ever race. The Allstar Performance Shootout is expecting a stellar field of cars on hand as the Memorial Day Holiday Weekend officially kicks off the inaugural season for the AEMODT.
With the I-96 event added to the schedule, the AEMODT will race in 13 events during the inaugural season. The cars and stars of the AEMODT will utilize the regulations and rules set forth within the Concord, North Carolina based sanctioning body of DIRTcar Racing UMP (United Midwestern Promoters). The 2017 AEMODT Champion will have an impressive $5,000 check awaiting them at seasons end with any AEMODT member in the final points standings who attends at least 80% of the events (11 of the 13) completed during the year also receiving a points fund check at the 2017 AEMODT Awards Banquet. In addition, the AEMODT teams will be vying for a minimum of $1,500 to win and $200 just to start at 12 of the 13 scheduled races with one event paying a whopping $10,000 to win.
The 2017 season opener for the AELMT is set for Friday, May 26th at I-96 Speedway in Lake Odessa, Michigan. The third year of the fastest growing touring series for dirt Late Models in the country kicks off the Memorial Day Holiday Weekend at the fast 4/10s located along Interstate 96 is expected a plethora of teams converging to the West Michigan speed plant in what is already being regarded as one of the most highly anticipated season openers of the 2017 racing season.
