Manistee County Fairgrounds Added to Inaugural American Ethanol Modified Tour Presented by Allstar Performance Schedule

March 13, 2017

AEMODT heads to the Lake Michigan shoreline on Friday, July 7th

Rochester Hills, Michigan (Monday, March 13th, 2017): The inaugural season for the American Ethanol Modified Tour presented by Allstar Performance has drawn a massive amount of interest from drivers and teams all over the Great Lakes region of the United States and even from the neighboring country of Canada. An 11-race schedule was previously announced with races at seven different facilities in three different states. AEMODT officials are happy to announce that a 12th race has been added to the schedule and comes on the heels of the richest paying race on the 2017 schedule.

Just four days after the inaugural DIRTcar Racing UMP Modified Classic, paying $10,000 to win at Merritt Speedway on Monday, July 3rd, the AEMODT contingent will then head due west to the 1/2 (0.500) mile, circular shaped, slightly-banked dirt oval of the Manistee County Fairgrounds, located west of Cadillac in Onekama, Michigan on Friday, July 7th. DIRTcar Racing UMP Modifieds have ran at the fairgrounds oval twice with the last race occurring on August 5th, 2016. Spring Lake, Michigan standout, Jacob Poel went to victory lane. Back on August 28th, 2015, Aaron Morey would take the checkered flag first at the northwestern Michigan oval located minutes from Lake Michigan.

With the Manistee event now on the schedule, the AEMODT will race in 12 events during the inaugural campaign. Registration costs will not change and the savings for registering early now jumps to a $145 savings. The deadline for early registration is Sunday, April 30th at 11:59p.m. (ET). The 1/3 (0.333) mile semi-banked clay oval of Thunderbird Raceway located in Muskegon, Michigan will serve as hosts of the historic first ever race on Saturday, May 27th. The Allstar Performance Shootout will see defending Track Champion and Muskegon native, Andy Sprague look to defend his home turf against an expected stellar field of cars as the Memorial Day Holiday Weekend officially kicks off the inaugural season for the AEMODT.
