2017 season openers set for Friday, May 26th at I-96 Speedway (Late Models) & Saturday, May 27th at Thunderbird Raceway (Mods)
Rochester Hills, Michigan (Friday, March 3rd, 2017): The American Ethanol Late Model Tour and the American Ethanol Modified Tour presented by Allstar Performance are both excited to announce that Membership/Registration Forms for the 2017 racing season are available. By becoming a member, drivers are eligible for all Contingency Awards and are also eligible for the 2017 Highest in Points Provisional for both tours, beginning with Race #2 in each. For both tours, the second race of the 2017 campaign for each will be the 3rd Annual Merritt Showdown at Merritt Speedway on Wednesday, June 14th.

By registering for all events in advance, AELMT teams enjoy a $180 savings which includes the membership as well as entry fees paid for all 14 events in 2017. By purchasing the membership only, AELMT teams will still have to pay $40 to enter each event and $50 for each $10,000 to win show (June 14th at Merritt and October 7th at Berlin). For the AEMODT teams, they will enjoy a $115 savings which includes membership as well as entry fees paid for all 11 events in 2017. By purchasing the membership only, AEMODT teams will still have to pay $30 to enter each event and $40 for the $10,000 to win show (July 3rd at Merritt).
The 2017 season opener for the AELMT is set for Friday, May 26th at I-96 Speedway in Lake Odessa, Michigan. The third year of the fastest growing touring series for dirt Late Models in the country kicks off the Memorial Day Holiday Weekend at the fast 4/10s (0.400) mile high-banked clay oval located between Grand Rapids and Lansing on Interstate 96 is expected a plethora of teams converging to the Mike Mouch owned facility in what is already being regarded as one of the most highly anticipated season openers of 2017.
The 2017 AELMT Champion will have an impressive $10,000 check awaiting them at seasons end with any AELMT member in the final points standings who attends at least 80% of the events (11 of the 14) completed during the year also receiving a points fund check at the 2017 AELMT Awards Banquet. In addition, the AELMT teams will be vying for a minimum of $4,000 to win and $300 just to start at 11 of the 14 scheduled races. One event will pay $5,000 to win while the two headlining shows of the season will see the winner(s) get a cool $10,000 pay check.
The inaugural season opener for the American Ethanol Modified Tour presented by Allstar Performance is set for Saturday, May 27th as the Tom Sprague owned and promoted 1/3 (0.333) mile semi-banked clay oval of Thunderbird Raceway located in Muskegon, Michigan will serve as hosts of the historic first ever race. The Allstar Performance Shootout will see an expected stellar field of cars as the Memorial Day Holiday Weekend officially kicks off the inaugural season for the AEMODT.
The 2017 AEMODT Champion will have an impressive $5,000 check awaiting them at seasons end with any AEMODT member in the final points standings who attends at least 80% of the events (9 of the 11) completed during the year also receiving a points fund check at the 2017 AEMODT Awards Banquet. In addition, the AEMODT teams will be vying for a minimum of $1,500 to win and $200 just to start at 10 of the 11 scheduled races with one event paying a mammoth $10,000 to win.
