Inaugural season opener set for Saturday, May 27th at Thunderbird Raceway
Lake Odessa, Michigan (Friday, February 17th, 2017): The inaugural season opener for the American Ethanol Modified Tour presented by Allstar Performance is set for Saturday, May 27th as the Tom Sprague owned and promoted 1/3 (0.333) mile semi-banked clay oval of Thunderbird Raceway located in Muskegon, Michigan will serve as hosts of the historic first ever race. The Allstar Performance Shootout will see defending Track Champion and Muskegon native, Andy Sprague look to defend his home turf against an expected stellar field of cars as the Memorial Day Holiday Weekend officially kicks off the inaugural season for the AEMODT.
AEMODT management has officially announced contingency decals for the inaugural 2017 racing season for all 11 events on the calendar. Several decals will be required on all cars to be eligible for contingency awards for all teams whether full-time competitors or teams who drop in for visits on one or more occasions. The following decals will be required for all teams and on both sides of the cars: The AEMODT Primary Logo is the only logo that is to size and placement and must be located as shown in the diagram.
All other decals can be adjusted to fit each teams paint scheme but must be at least 8" wide. The remaining required decals are: YellowHose.com, Hoosier Racing Tires, QuickCar Racing Products, Lane Automotive, Allstar Performance, Keyser Manufacturing, Aeroquip Performance Products, Quarter Master, ARP and either-style big American Ethanol logo. The following decals are not required, but highly recommended. Carbon Green BioEnergy, DIRTcar Racing, Motor City Racing Promotions, Michigan Corn Growers Association, Iroquois Bio-Energy Company and the American Ethanol Fuel Port. The cars and stars of the AEMODT will utilize the regulations and rules set forth within the Concord, North Carolina based sanctioning body of DIRTcar UMP (United Midwestern Promoters) Racing. The 2017 AEMODT Champion will have an impressive $5,000 check awaiting them at seasons end with anyone in the final points standings who attends at least 80% of the events completed during the year also receiving a points fund check at the 2017 AEMODT Awards Banquet. In addition, the AEMODT teams will be vying for a minimum of $1,500 to win and $200 just to start at 11 of the 12 scheduled races with one event paying a mammoth $10,000 to win.
